Venice is everything you read about and more.  The Island of Murano is just 1 mile off the coast of Venice, and it is totally captivating as well.  The glassmaking history of the island dates back to 1291, and you see a piece of history in every bead the Venetian people make.  The beads are incredible!  The people are delightful!  The food is outstanding!  The wine is delicious!
